Description

Yellowish-brown background with pattern of large dark blotches down side. Black markings on tail base and back are distinctive, and not as rounded as on E. polyphekadion (Camouflage Grouper). Dense covering of small dark and light spots. Juveniles found over seagrass beds. Length to 120 cm.
