In early May and June 2019, a team of new and veteran RLS volunteers headed to picturesque Rottnest Island, WA for the 12th annual RLS survey of the Rottnest Island Marine Reserve.
This May, a team of RLS divers aboard the research catamaran Eviota headed out to remote reefs in the Great Barrier Reef & Coral Sea to record the ecological impact of recent tropical cyclones & intense bleaching events.
Reporting on the progress and success of the Convention on Biological Diversity Aichi Targets and Sustainable Development Goals is now a little bit easier, thanks to the development & implementation of two new biodiversity indicators based on Reef Life Survey data.
