Bright orange/red coloration with blue spots that form into lines on head, six dark blotches/bars along back below dorsal fin with light areas in between. Blue lines on face and dark blotches along back distinguish it from C. miniata (Coral Rockcod). Length to 50 cm.

Sea Temperature Range: 22.7-31.2°C

Depth: 6-150m
