Description
Male with elongate body which is slightly narrower than H. annulatus (Ringed Slender Wrasse), narrow bars on side, pale bar on side behind pectoral fin in large individuals, tail with semi-transparent outer edge. Females lighter in colour than males and lacking white bar on side. Juveniles white with three thin red stripes.
