Reef Life Survey CANADA has officially launched, with the first group of divers being trained in the frigid waters of Newfoundland this week.

The program is being headed by Associate Professor Amanda Bates at Memorial University of Newfoundland, and comes after months of planning by herself and a team of dedicated PhD students. The launch of Reef Life Survey Canada is an exciting first step in improving our understanding of the status of temperate Northern Hemisphere reefs, which, until now, have been relatively underrepresented in the RLS data.

You can find more information about the program HERE.
