Temperate Australasia, Tropical Indo-Pacific


Description

Black stripe through the eye, fine purple spots on sides, yellow colouration at the rear of the body, and black and blue trim to the fins. Pearly white forebody grading to bright yellow on upper and rear of body, unlike C. citrinellus (Citron Butterflyfish), which is yellow all over and has black margin on anal fin.
