Description
White with three dark gold bands, the first over eye, the second broader and oblique over pectoral fin base and the third broader still and on the opposite slant on rear of body. A pair of ocelli on rear of dorsal fin with another dark blotch at the start, dorsal, anal and pelvic fins yellow and a dark gold band around tail base. Juveniles have black bars and only on ocellus on dorsal fin. Generally found over rocky and coral reefs but also inhabits tidal areas and estuaries, living amongst the weed.
