Description
Male with darker vertical bar on mid-side and pale stripe from below eye to pectoral fin. Female very similar to that of P. hypselosoma (Pink Basslet), but with more angular rear dorsal and anal fin margins and lacks deep purple outer eye.

It is calculated as the % of reef sites surveyed by RLS divers across all the ecoregions in which the species has been observed
Abundance: Many (46 per transect)
Abundance is calculated as the average number of individuals recorded per RLS transect, where present.
