Distribution

Temperate Australasia, Tropical Indo-Pacific


Description

Males green-brown with thin dark green stripes along body, bright green band on tail fin base, high body profile and pointed snout. Females and juveniles brown with darker stripes along body, two ocelli on dorsal fin, and translucent band on tail fin base. Small juveniles black with light stripes along body.
