Blunt, rounded head, oblique dark line on base of pectoral fin and white underside. Males with yellow/orange stripe along rear mid-side. Juveniles and females red-brown on back witha black spot on upper tail base that shrinks with age, similar to C. cyanopleura (Blueside Wrasse) and best confirmed by presence of males and location.
