Description
Long wide snout, lower jaw longer than upper jaw, thin red stripe broken by white segments along centre of body, helmet-like plate on head behind eyes with yellow and pink markings, body with oblique red and white bands composed of small spots. Similar Helcogramma gymnauchen also has extended lower jaw.
