Description
Tubulophilinopsis lineolata is very cosmopolitan within Australia and this has been known for 40 years. It occurs naturally in every Australian state (except Tasmania) as well as (northern) New Zealand. The larvae are likely long-lived and they settle and grow wherever conditions are suitable and the water is warm enough. On the other hand, long periods can go by with no sightings.
