Description
Compared with the other sweeps, they are darker, less rounded, and the start of the dorsal and anal fins is not as highly elevated. They are found in great abundance in shallow water on NSW reefs but decline rapidly in numbers towards the south. Juveniles are also occasionally found near the entrances of estuaries.
