Temperate Australasia, Tropical Indo-Pacific


Description

Blue grey head and fore-body grading to a yellow tail with elongated upper and lower lobes, blunt rounded snout that is often pinkish and black stripe along upper dorsal fin. Mimics Meiacanthus atrodorsalis (Eyelash Fangblenny) but lacks the eyelash, has more slender body shape, and black stripe is near top of dorsal fin rather than along the base.
