Comment by Richard Willan: 'Whilst this is one of the most distinctive of the genus Phyllidiella because of the widely spaced rounded pustules, it is often missed by divers because it essentially inhabits only the intertidal zone. Five metres would be the absolute maximum depth for this species.'
