Tropical Indo-Pacific
Description
Large flat head and elaborate camouflage, often over looked despite its large size. Pelvic fins equal in size to, or larger than pectoral fins. Covered in irregular grey-brown spots. Similar to other tropical flatheads, but often found closer to reefs. Lacks tassels above eyes as on C. nematophthalmus (Fringe-eye Flathead). Length to 58cm.
