Description
Differs from Callogobius mucosus, which has much the same geographic distribution, in possessing a flatter head, less elongate body, and lighter colouration. Both species are flattened, possess skin ridges on the head and a rounded tail, and can generate copious amounts of mucous from the head if disturbed. They are also both common and hide under rocks during the day.
