Description
Distinctive profile with steep forehead and rectangular body, dark coloration, and a straight, transparent rear tail margin. Often also orange tint to pectoral fin and eye, and light vertical bar across mid lower body. Juveniles mimic Centropyge vrolikii (Pearlscale Angelfish) and C. nox (Midnight Angelfish). Length to 60 cm.
