Temperate Africa, Tropical Indo-Pacific


Description

Light salmon pink to dirty red-brown with distinct dark scale margins and broad black borders on dorsal, anal and tail fins. Black patch on upper operculum and at base of pectoral fin, separated by a light patch just behind operculum. Largest of the soldierfishes.
