Description

Rare during the day as it buries itself in sand adjacent to reefy areas, although shell fragments are often visible where detritus collects. Emerges partially or fully at night and can be quite common then. Actual shell is quite thinly built. Length to about 50mm. Often covered with mucus and leaves easily visible tracks in the sand.
