Description
Male with light patch on tail base, like Chlorurus sordidus, but distinguished by lunate tail shape and maze-like scribbles on body scales. Females have large golden scales on underside, and juveniles have white tail, black speckles on dorsal and anal fins, and light stripes from face disppearing along the body.
