Description
Four wide dark stripes from snout to tail, with more stripes on head, pale unmarked belly, yellow dorsal, anal and tail fins with large black spots and a yellow snout. Similar P. vittatus (Oriental Sweetlips) is distinguished by location, and has stripes on belly and yellow pectoral fin, while P. lineatus (Oblique-banded Sweetlips) has oblique bands rather than horizontal.
