Description
Torpedo-shaped body, blue head with two yellow stripes on snout before eye, the second of which extends through eye then widens to tail base above diffuse dark lateral stripe, where it turns iridescent and wraps around a small black dot, blue stripe along back below dorsal fin and an oblique yellow stripe on cheek below eye. Juveniles with thin yellow, black, grey and white stripes along side. Distinguished from P. paradiseus (Paradise Threadfin Bream) which occurs in north-eastern Australia, and P. setosus, from SE Asia, primarily by location.
