Description
Pale blue-grey back with U-shaped markings composed of brown flecks, white stripe along mid body and to tail tip, row of brown blotches below that sometimes join with U's to make vertical bands. Males with numerous fine, oblique white lines on operculum. P. stricticeps (Whitestreak Grubfish) has bar below eye and darker markings.
