Distribution

Tropical Atlantic/Caribbean, Tropical Eastern Pacific, Tropical Indo-Pacific


Description

Base colour red but can rapidly change from uniform colouration to blotchy red and silver. Rear fins spotted, tailfin margin rounded. Hovers motionless amongst coral.

Depth: 3-300 m
