Distribution
Description
Part of the Eviota guttata species complex including E. teresae, E. guttata, and E. taeiae. Confirmed occurrence in the Society Islands and Tuamotus, French Polynesia; records outside of these areas are not genetically confirmed. Lacks a red interorbital spot which is seen in all other described members of the species complex. Eyes exhibit four white or gold spokes extending out from pupil, with no mottling over the iris. Red stripe behind the eye is partly connected to a large red spot behind each eye, whereas this stripe is separate in E. teresae and E. guttata.
