Tropical Indo-Pacific


Description

Variable red-brown to pale grey-brown body, becoming darker posteriorly. Similar to C. spiloparaea (Strawberry Rockcod), but with distinctive light blue stripes that extend obliquely across upper and lower tail. Lacks white edged black blotch on upper tail base of C. leopardus (Leopard Rockcod). Length to 28 cm.
