Description
Adult reddish-brown with numerous small blue spots surrounded by pale circular markings, broken bars often present, rear fins generally with blue margin; juvenile blue-grey with yellow dorsal, ventral and anal fins.Similar C. argus (Peacock Grouper) has dark margins to blue spots and pale bars on rear of body. Length to 40 cm.
