Description
Bright yellow body, blue ring around eye, blue edge on gill cover with orange streak behind, rear fins with light blue margin. Similar C. heraldi (Yellow Angelfish) lacks blue markings, as does Apolemichthys trimaculatus (Threespot Angelfish) which is also larger and has a black margin on anal fin. Also mimicked by juvenile Acanthurus pyroferus (Mimic Surgeonfish) but that species has longer dorsal and anal fins, and lacks spine on gill cover. Length to 14 cm.
