Distribution

Mediterranean, Temperate northern Atlantic, Tropical Atlantic/Caribbean


Description

Slightly elongate silver body with black margins on tips of tail lobes. Juveniles with about seven dark bars on sides, found drifting with sargassum mats. Forms schools usually not far from the shore.
