Description
High silvery body with a relatively steep head profile and a pointed snout. Scales on upper sides with blue spots, creating rows of spots along body, and tail with a narrow dark margin. Generally found over sandy bottoms and the edges of rocky reefs, with the young found in very shallow waters on reef flats and in bays with mixed sand and rubble bottoms.
