Description

Silver body with dark vertical bars at front and back of operculum, dark upper lip, deeply forked tail, red eye, and often yellowish hue to fins. A solitary hunter along the edges of coral reefs. Another similar jobfish, A. rutilans has reddish hue and deeper split in tail fork, but is found much deeper, tending not to be encountered by divers.
