Tropical Indo-Pacific


Description

Pale body with faint orange crosshatch pattern, the central two horizontal lines starting on snout where they are darker and more distinct, tail base with a large white spot with an orange centre. Similar A. nocturnus (Pyjama Goby) lacks tail spot and vertical lines. Hovers close to the bottom over sand and rubble patches near reefs.
