Description
Large goby with blunt head, eyes well forward on head. Alternating narrow light stripes and darker wider stripes along the side. May display several roughly H-shaped dark blotches on the side. Base body colour white to light grey to yellowish. Introduced from Japan to Port Phillip Bay, Victoria (e.g. Corio Bay, Geelong area). Found in muddy / silty areas, e.g. under jetties.
