Description
The mantle of Sepia plangon is proportionately longer than on the other species and extends to between the eyes. The species often has a bluish tinge around the eyes. Its cuttlebone is slender with a groove on the lower surface and a small spine. The species grows to only a small size and is usually confined to estuaries.
