Description

Well camouflaged, with blotches and body colour differing to match surrounding substrate. Humpbacked body profile but with less pronounced hump than the false stonefish (Scorpaenopsis diabolus), generally with yellow tinge to opercle, dark red band across tail, eye with outer series of tubercles. Length to 17 cm.
