Description
Distinct frog-like body shape, with pectoral fins thick and strong, appearing almost as arms. Thick horn-like protrusion between eyes, red lips and purplish blotching over a pale body. Less shy than other batfishes. Inhabits sand and mud areas near reef edges, usually below 10 m. Also found in Peru.
