Temperate Australasia, Tropical Indo-Pacific


Description

Pointed snout, small black spot at base of pectoral fin, white margin on anal fin. Mouth small and at the very tip of the snout, for skimming food off the surface. Feeds in schools over clean sand within sheltered bays. Length to 40 cm.
