Temperate Australasia, Tropical Indo-Pacific

Description

High body, long snout, upper head profile slightly concave, orange markings on face around eyes, base of pectoral fins with bright orange-red patch, often displays dark and light bars on body but can rapidly change markings. An important commercial and recreational fish species on the Great Barrier Reef.
