Description

This species has likely been frequently misidentified as a result of conflicting images from other resources. Other images published online and in books may be L. rubrioperculatus or L. microdon. This species does not have as long a snout as L. microdon, nor the distinct red blotch on the operculum of L. rubrioperculatus
