Description

Distinctive pattern of rounded white triangles, on a red-brown background. Found in sand pockets of reefs. Very similar to Conus textile (Textile Cone) from the Indo-pacific region, differing mainly in location. Like many other Conus species, predatory, able to fire a tiny venomous 'harpoon'. Should not be handled live.
