Description
Smaller and more light bodied than most other Cirripectes species. Broad black stripe down side, pale underside, light grey along back under dorsal fin. Light patch on top of eye which has a gold iris surrounded by red. C. filamentosus (Filamentous Blenny) has similar eye markings but lacks the light patch on top. Shy and secretive, hiding in the reef. Endemic to north-western Australia.
