Distribution

Tropical Eastern Pacific


Description

Males with 3 broad red-brown bands on body separated by white bands with narrow yellow bands in the centre, a black band on tail base and a black tail fin separated by a red band. First dorsal fin dark and flag-like, pectoral fins clear with narrow orange bands and a dark bar under eye to bottom oh head. Females similar but with more brown colouration, a smaller first dorsal fin and a white and brown tail fin. Found sitting on the reef.
