May 14, 2010 by Rick
Reef Life Survey recently won an award for Community Action and Partnerships and was also a finalist in the Natural Environment category for the Victorian Coastal Council Awards for Excellence 2010.
The Awards night was held in Melbourne on April 28th and began with a welcome to country by Wurundjeri elder; and speech by the Minister for Environment and Climate Change – applauding effort in protecting and maintaining local environments.
Reef Life Survey made it to the final stages for both categories nominated for – and Rick, Jacqui Pocklington and Don Love were there to proudly accept the Community Action and Partnerships award on behalf of RLS.

We’re absolutely stoked with this award – and it is fantastic to see some formal recognition for all the hard work that RLS volunteers continually put in and for all that has been achieved so far. Great work – and keep it up!
